Himalayan Salt Soap Craft Kit

It's time to share the next craft kit - you’ll be learning how to make your own exfoliating salt soap! (Posted Feb 2022)

You'll have an easy-to-use melt and pour base, then add your Himalayan pink rock salt and lavender fragrance oil (optional, if you're not a fan of scent) to create your soap scrub bar.

The kit includes enough to make 8-10 bars, perfect to keep and gift to friends & family.

The coarse grained Himalayan Pink Rock Salt has its distinctive pink colour from the high mineral content, specifically iron, potassium and magnesium, all said to be great for good health.

We've also chosen and included the lavender fragrance oil for it's relaxing vibe and soothing warm scent!

Everything you need to make your Himalayan Soap Scrub is nestled inside the box, which includes:

  • Soap Base
  • Pink Himalayan Salt
  • Lavender Oil
  • Wooden stirrer
  • Your step-by-step photo instructions (with video tutorial also available online) and some creative inspiration for your pinboard!

This is a really fun one to do over an afternoon, with effective results pretty quickly!

Don’t have a microwave? 
As an alternative you can melt your soap and pour base using a hob and the ‘Double Boiler’ method.
Place a heatproof bowl over a simmering pan of water on the hob. (The bowl must be placed on top of the pan without it touching the bottom). Add your pieces of soap into the bowl and allow it to heat gently until your soap has melted and has a fluid consistency. 
Keep an eye on the pan to ensure it doesn't boil over / evaporate, and handle with care as the bowl will be very hot.
Be careful that you don’t overheat the soap - you only need to heat it until it melts.
