Do you remember learning how to linocut print at school?
With our Linocut Tea Towel craft kit and tutorial we’re taking a traditional craft and giving it a modern twist…
Lino cutting is such a satisfying art form - it makes you simplify down your subject into a few key lines and gives your work a real energy; you get the sense of the hand that cut the lino in the final print.
For this tutorial, with soft lino and a lino cutter tool, you create blocks to use with modern VersaCraft fabric ink pads to print a repeat (or freestyle!) pattern on fabric.
It can easily be adapted for use on paper or card too if you’re making invites, wedding invitations or thank you cards.
We’ve chosen to use ink pads to simplify the printing process - you get fabulous results, can blend colours easily and printing is great for crafting with children.
