There's something a little bit magical about August's project. This month, we'll be combining nature, light, and a touch of embroidery to create a pair of beautiful handmade wall art pieces that celebrate the beauty of the outdoors.
Without giving too much away, you'll be experimenting with one of the oldest photographic printing techniques in a wonderfully accessible way. Using specially prepared fabric, sunlight, and natural objects, you'll watch your designs develop into stunning blue-and-white prints before adding delicate embroidered details to make each piece completely your own.
The creative process is full of little moments of wonder, from arranging your compositions to revealing the finished prints after they've been exposed to the sun. Once your designs are complete, you'll finish them inside embroidery hoops, creating two pieces of wall art that are perfect for displaying at home or gifting to someone special.
It's a project that encourages you to slow down, spend a little time outdoors, and embrace the unexpected. No two designs will ever be exactly the same, making every finished piece wonderfully unique.
