September's Craftiosity project is here, and this month we're getting hands-on with colourful polymer clay, playful shapes and some of our favourite summer memories.

You'll be making three playful polymer clay photo holders, each with its own colourful design. Inspired by bright summer days, cheerful shapes and those little moments worth remembering, this is a wonderfully fun project that's all about mixing, moulding and making something completely your own.

Whether you create a juicy strawberry, a cheerful rainbow or your own colourful ‘FUN’ keepsake, your finished photo holders will be ready to display your favourite photographs, postcards or little notes.

It's a relaxing and playful project that's perfect for getting stuck into some hands-on creativity – and the best part is that your finished pieces are useful too!

A Colourful Way to Hold Onto Summer

As summer starts to fade into autumn, September’s project is all about capturing those happy moments and turning them into something handmade.

You'll use soft polymer clay to create three playful designs, experimenting with colour, texture and simple shapes before adding the wire stands that will hold your favourite photographs or notes.

We've included a selection of bright mini clay colours so you can bring your own ideas to life. You could recreate our colourful rainbow, strawberry and ‘FUN’ designs, or mix things up and create something completely different.

Once finished, your photo holders make a lovely little addition to a desk, shelf or windowsill – bringing a pop of colour and a reminder of summer wherever you choose to display them.

What You'll Be Exploring

This month's project introduces you to the wonderfully tactile world of polymer clay.

You'll learn how to soften, shape and combine polymer clay to create playful designs, experiment with colour mixing and build sturdy little stands ready to display your favourite memories.

Along the way you'll enjoy:

• Working with polymer clay and experimenting with colour combinations
• Sculpting playful shapes using simple techniques
• Creating three colourful photo holders with your own personal touches

It's a lovely balance of mindful making and playful creativity, with plenty of opportunities to experiment along the way.

Make It Your Own

One of our favourite things about working with polymer clay is that there really are no rules.

We've created a few colourful designs to inspire you, but you can use the materials in your kit to create your own shapes, colour combinations and patterns.

Try combining different colours, adding tiny details with the wooden toothpicks or experimenting with your own patterns and shapes. You could even make each of your three photo holders completely different from the others — create something cute, colourful, quirky or completely unique to you.

And when it comes to what you display in them, that's entirely up to you. We've included three summer-inspired postcards to get you started, but you can swap these for your own favourite photographs, holiday snaps, postcards or little handwritten notes.
