April's project takes you outside to enjoy the spring sunshine to gather some of the natural materials around you!
Head out for a walk in the great outdoors, visit your local park, woodland or have a potter around your garden and collect a variety of leaves. There are thousands of varieties and I'm sure that wherever you live you'll be able to find a selection of different shapes, sizes and textures without going far.
You'll then explore printing with your leaves to create a stunning, decorative leaf printed and embroidered tea towel. (Posted April 2023).

You'll start by embroidering a beautiful poem onto your tea towel, you can use our suggestion or perhaps you have your own favourite of your own you'd like to add. We've used: "Here is a little forest Whose leaf is ever green. Here is a brighter garden, Where not a frost has been." - Emily Dickinson.
Once you've collected your leaves and they're dry, it's time to have some fun and get creative! Using your little ink pad, which is a beautiful shade of opulent Celadon green, you'll print some beautiful patterns from your leaves onto your cotton tea towel.
Once your printed leaves have dried you can add the details! We're including a handpicked selection of six shades of green embroidery threads that will compliment your leaf prints. Get your stitch on and add decorative highlights and textures to your printed patterns.
