It's time to share this month's project! For this one, we were inspired by balmy al-fresco dining with bees gently buzzing nearby in the sun.
As an alternative to disposable plastic wraps, we're making long-lasting beeswax wraps and a bee-themed embroidered cotton bag to go alongside. Introducing the Beeswax Wrap Craft Kit...
You'll have everything you need to make your very own re-usable food wraps and embroidered cotton bag - perfect for storing small items like garlic or stock cubes!
Your box includes:
- 2 fabrics (approx 25 x 25cm, and 20 x 20cm)
- Beeswax
- Parchment
- Small cotton bag
- Embroidery thread
- Sewing needle
- Bee & honeycomb embroidery template
You'll infuse the fabric with the beeswax - once they harden, they keep the shape you wrap them into, covering bowls, jars, or wrapping food up (just not raw meat / fish).
Once made, you'll be able to re-use these beeswax wraps over and over again, from keeping picnics in the park fresh, to covering leftovers in the fridge!
And as ever, you’ll have step-by-step photo instructions and a video tutorial online to make it easy to follow along.
Orders for this kit have now closed, but read on to learn more about subscribing and joining us for future projects.
If you've bought this project, you'll find your tutorial video below (the password is on the front of the printed instructions in your box!)
