This month, we’re making a cosy Robin Nest and a festive Christmas Wreath — perfect decorations to celebrate the winter season and give your little robin friend a cosy home.

🌟 What’s Inside Your Kit

Inside your Little Makers craft box, you’ll find:

• 2 polystyrene rings (one for the wreath, one for the robin nest)

• Pipe cleaners: green, white, and brown

• Two colours of fluffy wool: green and silver

• Gold ribbon

• A cute little robin

• Red sequins

• A small bell

• PVA glue

🌙 Let’s Make Our Robin Nest & Christmas Wreath!

Follow these simple steps to create your winter decorations:

Step 1: Make the Green Wreath Ring

1. Take one polystyrene ring and four green pipe cleaners.

2. Carefully wrap each pipe cleaner around the ring, twisting the ends to secure. Ask an adult for help if it’s tricky.

3. Once all pipe cleaners are wrapped, take the green fluffy wool and weave it between the gaps of the pipe cleaners to fill in any white spaces. This will give your wreath a soft, fluffy look.

Step 2: Add a Bow and Sparkle

1. Use a small piece of wool to attach the gold bow to the wreath. Twist the wool through the bow and knot it around the pipe cleaner.

2. Wrap the gold ribbon around the wreath and tie it into a pretty bow. Trim the ends to make it neat.

3. Add red sequins using PVA glue to create little holly berries — press them gently so they stick.

Step 3: Build the Robin’s Nest

1. Take the white polystyrene ring and four white pipe cleaners. Wrap them around the ring, twisting the ends to secure.

2. Use the silver wool to fill in gaps between the pipe cleaners for a soft, cosy base.

Step 4: Weave the Nest

1. Take two brown pipe cleaners. Wrap one around your finger to create a small spiral and secure it by weaving it with the second pipe cleaner over and under to create a tight woven nest.

2. Adjust the spiral and weave until the nest is sturdy and snug.

Step 5: Assemble the Nest and Robin

1. Place your finished nest inside the white ring. You can glue it down if you like, but it’s optional.

2. Fluff up your robin and place it gently inside the nest.

🎉 Congratulations! You now have a beautiful Christmas wreath and a cosy home for your robin.
