What’s in Your Kit?
- Natural Cotton Macramé Cord (3.5mm) – approx. 60m
- 8 Wooden Beads with a generous 6mm hole
- Wooden Dowel (12mm x 27cm)
- Bamboo Fibre Plant Pot
You’ll also need:
A pair of scissors, a ruler or measuring tape, and a comfy spot to create!
Top Tips Before You Begin
- Hang it up! Loop your macramé onto a door or cupboard handle while you work—it’s much easier when it’s vertical.
- Tame the tangles. Tie off each section’s cords to keep things neat and make it easier to spot which cords to use at each step.
How Long Will It Take?
You’ll need around 2–3 hours of hands-on time to finish your hanger, but there’s absolutely no rush. Craft at your own pace—spread it over a few sessions if that’s more your style!
Make It Your Own 🎨
Here’s how to add a personal twist to your plant hanger:
- Knot your way. Once you’ve mastered the basic knots, experiment with mixing them up to create your own design.
- Add some flair. Paint or decorate your wooden beads with markers or other art supplies.
- No plants? No problem! Use your hanger to hold pens, makeup brushes, or anything else you love.
