Welcome back to Craftiosity Kids — we’re so excited to get creative with you today.

This month, we’re making something super sparkly and perfect for November nights… your very own Firework Landscape Hoop! Filled with rolling felt hills, glittering fireworks and little red flowers, this is a magical scene you can hang up and enjoy all season long.

🌟 What’s Inside Your Kit

Inside your Little Makers craft box, you’ll find:

• A paper template for cutting your felt hills

• A wooden embroidery hoop

• A bag of red sequins

• Light and dark green felt

• Black felt for your night sky

• PVA glue

• Two glitter glue sticks (colours may vary!)

You’ll also need:
✂️ A pair of sharp scissors
🖊️ A pen
(Feel free to ask an adult for help when you need it!)

🌙 Let’s Make Our Firework Landscape!

Follow these simple steps to create your sparkling artwork.

Step 1: Prepare Your Night Sky

1. Take your wooden embroidery hoop and unscrew the metal fixing at the top until the two hoops come apart.

2. Lay your black felt over the smaller inner hoop.

3. Place the larger hoop on top and press down firmly.

4. If it feels a bit tight, loosen the screw a little more, then push again.

5. Once your felt is smooth and tight, screw the fixing back in to hold everything in place.

Now you have your night sky ready!

Step 2: Cut Out Your Rolling Hills

1. Cut out the paper templates for your hill shapes.

2. Lay them onto your two shades of green felt.

   • The two smaller shapes go on the light green felt.

3. Turn the paper templates upside down before drawing around them — this way, your pen lines won’t show on the finished picture!

4. Carefully cut out each felt hill.

   • If it feels a bit fiddly, ask an adult to help.

   • You can also change the shapes if you’d like — this is your artwork!

Step 3: Arrange and Glue Your Hills

1. Lay your hills onto the black felt background.

   • Start with the large dark green shape at the bottom.

   • Then place the medium and small hills on top to give a 3D effect.

2. Once you’re happy with the layout, glue them down:

   • Add glue right to the edges (this is important so they don’t lift!).

   • Press each piece gently to stick it in place.

Step 4: Add Your Sparkly Red Flowers

1. Open your bag of red sequins — these will make lovely little flowers on your hills!

2. Add a small dot of glue to the back of each sequin.

3. Place them wherever you’d like on your hills.

   • You can add lots… or just a few — the design is completely yours.

Step 5: Create Your Glittering Fireworks

1. Take your glitter glue sticks — you should have two colourful ones.

2. Start with your first colour. Add a small dot on the night sky.

3. From that dot, draw sparkly arms going outward, like an exploding firework.

   • Six arms makes a great firework shape!

4. Add as many fireworks as you like — one, two, three… or a whole sky full!

5. Use your second glitter glue colour to add details:

   • Little lines between the arms

   • Extra dots on the ends

   • Even star shapes if you feel creative!

Now leave your artwork to dry for about 24 hours.

Step 6: Trim the Edges

Once everything is fully dry:

1. Turn your hoop over.

2. Carefully cut around the edge, keeping your scissors close to the wooden hoop.

3. This will remove the extra felt and give your artwork a beautifully neat finish.

And that’s it — your Firework Landscape Hoop is complete and ready to display! ✨
