This beautiful Japanese folk textile embroidery form translates as ‘little stabs’ and was traditionally used as a form of darning, or quilting stitch to build up warmth in winter clothing.

A little different to Western embroidery, the needle is much longer and loaded with multiple stitches to get these structured geometric lines.

For our Linoprint Fabric Tea Towel craft kit we took a traditional craft and gave it a modern twist…

With lino cutter tool and soft lino, you can create two stamps to use. We provide two VersaCraft fabric ink pads to print a repeat (or freestyle!) pattern on a lovely 100% cotton tea towel.

Annnd relax….

lavender bath bomb kit included all you need to make 4 bath bombs, perfect to stock up for yourself – or gift, if you’re feeling generous…

The kit included all the ingredients, with dried lavender, lavender oil and mineral pigment powder, with two bath bomb moulds to use again and again.

This kit’s all about lovely plants – even for those of us not blessed with green fingers!

Our papercut LED lamp kit has an array of little indoor plants created with layers of colourful paper.

There’s a lot you can do to personalise this one – as well as our template sheets for all ten of the plants, we teach you how to create cut out pieces from any inspiration, position the plants as you like around the light, and decide whether to include a diffuser or not; it’s up to you.

Yay, it’s the Shibori kit!

This month, we bring you the gorgeous Japanese dyeing form with a table top shibori kit. You don’t need outdoor space or big vats of dye for this one, it’s easy to make in your home.

The kit comes with three sample pieces of fabric for you to experiment with different binding processes, and a tote bag to make your final piece.

For this kit, we worked with cork fabric and pretty french linen thread to make a passport holder or mobile phone cover.

Cork fabric is tactile and lovely to use; we combined it with teal blue french linen thread to create this striking passport or mobile phone cover.

For this kit, we worked with Air Dry Clay ceramics, making this little desk pot and matching bud pot with white clay and copper paint.

Air dry clay’s pretty addictive, and these little pots are a perfect introduction to working with it – as well as great way to brighten up your desk!

This kit was for a lovely ‘Exposed Stitch Bookbinding’ notebook, making this little book with patterned papers, colourful twine and partially exposed inside pages.

It’s not as difficult as you may think to make this little guy, and we’ve loved using it. The notebook looks great on your desk or in a handbag, ready to collect notes, ideas and inspiration.
