Raffia Bowl Tutorial

Our woven raffia bowl craft kit and tutorial takes you through all the steps to make this lovely bowl from bunches of colourful raffia. We’re loving the lavender, sage and natural shades of this tactile material. The wonderful thing about this process is that you can make any size of bowl - we’ve made one for little knick-knacks, but make it larger and you’ll have a new fruit bowl or statement piece for your coffee table. This woven craft hails from Central Africa and is a really therapeutic and relaxing process that you can get lost in. There’s a lot of satisfaction in taming the wild strands of raffia made from the leaves of a palm tree!
